Tyddyn Bach now on Youtube.

After many months in planning this promotional / fundrasing video project has now come to fruition. Having had numerous request for this over many years the feedback so far has been incredibly positive.

The main driving force behind this video was principally to breakdown the misunderstandings surrounding the important work done here at Tyddyn Bach. With the very special help by several of our service users we have managed to show how  respite  can and is beneficial and how it does have empowering benefits both physically and emotionally.

Putting human faces to this, it is hoped that people will see clearly beyond the usual misconception respite means care-home.  It doesn't at Tyddyn Bach it is about supporting individuals and working to help them manage their illness positively.

This said we also needed to  draw attention to our financial plight, and how with very little we can and do a lot in the community.

With the very generous help   and guidance of writer and broadcaster Nick Turnbull and camera wizard Mark Earnshaw the whole thing has been put together smoothly.

Special thanks must also go to Staci Burnham of T.B.C Marketing, who first conceived this idea.  Also David Wyke (now retired Trustee) who has managed to pull this project together by making the human connections and keeping things on track.

A new patron steps forward to help support  Tyddyn Bach Trust

T.B.T is delighted to be able to welcome Della Jones as a new patron of our charity and to be able to announce a fundraising concet to be given by Della at the Quarry Theatre in Penmaenmawr.  Arrangements for this are underway and will be publicised shortly.

Della Jones is a Welsh mezzo- soprano who studied at the Royal College of music in London.  She has worked all over the world, notebly for English National Opera, Welsh National Opera and Scotish Opera in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Venice and Geneva.

A very versatiloe singer, some of her many memorable performances are Carmen, Cosi fan tutte and her wonderful " Last Night at the Proms when she thriled the audience not just with her voice, but also with her amazing outfit which she unfurled to reveal a Welsh Dragon.

In her letter of acceptance she said that "she would be utterly delighted to become a patron of Tyddyn Bach and will happily lend her name to this cause which is very close to her heart"

Online Forum is at last here!

Web marketing specialist Livetech has donated a brand new interactive website specifically created for Tyddyn Bach Trust; allowing those affected by the virus to discuss issues surrounding their status.

Centre Manager Philip Kearton-Smith said thanks to the overwhelming generosity of Livetech we can now communicate with people in a way we have not been able to before. We can now invite individuals to directly comment on issues that affect them whilst gaining support from others, which is something that very few if any other HIV organisation do.  It is however something that service-users attending the centre have been asking for for some time.

Paul Levy Managing director of Livetech said he was really pleased to be able to help out.  We were really impressed with the way Philip wanted to make a difference in how those affected could directly give feedback to issues that really affect them.
